What is Recovery Month?

Recovery Month aims to share positive stories and spread the message that people recover, treatment works and stigma needs to be challenged.

The first annual recovery campaign was hosted in Ontario by members of AMHO’s predecessor organizations, AO and OFCMHAP, in October 2006. Since then, the movement has spread and gained momentum. This year, with the impact of COVID-19, communities in Canada are hosting virtual Recovery Month events.

How Can I Get Involved?

AMHO members and communities across Ontario and Canada are hosting virtual Recovery Month events.
