What is Recovery Month?

Recovery Month aims to share positive stories and spread the message that people recover, treatment works and stigma needs to be challenged.

The first annual recovery campaign was hosted in Ontario by members of AMHO’s predecessor organizations, AO and OFCMHAP, in October 2006. Since then, the movement has spread and gained momentum. This year, over 15 communities in Ontario are hosting events for Recovery Month, many of them hosting Recovery Breakfasts.

How Can I Get Involved?

From St. Catherine’s and Hamilton, all the way up to Thunder Bay and Kapuskasing, AMHO members and communities across Ontario host Recovery Month events.
