National AccessAbility Week 2019
May 26 - Jun 1
National AccessAbility Week is a time when accessibility and inclusion is promoted across Canadian communities and workplaces and an occasion to celebrate the contributions of Canadians with disabilities.
Starting on the last Sunday in May, National Accessibility Week also aims to recognize the efforts of Canadians who are actively removing barriers and ensuring persons with disabilities have an equal chance to participate in all aspects of Canadian society.
By recognizing and acknowledging the valuable participation of persons with disabilities, Canadians can reduce ongoing discrimination and trigger a broad culture change that will transform how our society thinks and acts on accessibility.
Society benefits when all Canadians can participate fully in their workplaces and communities.
Throughout National AccessAbility Week, follow and share posts from the @AccessibleGC on Twitter and at AccessibleGC on Facebook, and use the hashtags #AccessibleCanada and #AccessAbility when referencing the week.
