AMHO Issues Joint Response to Ontario’s draft Alcohol Policy Framework

On February 4, 2016, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care held a consultation on a draft “Alcohol Policy Framework” for Ontario. AMHO – along with CAMH, the Canadian Centre for Substance Abuse, the Canadian Mental Health Association (Ontario) and the Ontario Public Health Association – presented our joint response. Our joint response applauds the government for taking action on a province-wide alcohol policy, then outlines a series of evidence-based recommendations for ensuring a comprehensive and responsible alcohol policy.
